Jindalee Complete Dental offers comprehensive paediatric dental care for children of all ages. From infants to teens, we’re here to ensure that your child enjoys a healthy smile that lasts well into adulthood.

Creating a Positive, Relaxing Atmosphere

Dental phobia and anxiety often develop at a young age. If your child’s first encounter with a dentist is associated with a painful toothache or dental emergency, that experience will likely stay with them for life.

Seeing your child from a young age allows our energetic and friendly dental team to change the way children experience going to the dentist. By making routine checkups enjoyable and comfortable, we’re able to help eliminate fear of the dentist.

But not only that; routine dental care helps eliminate common dental problems and reduce the extent of treatment your child needs in the future.

It’s our goal to limit your child’s risk of cavities and orthodontic problems before they have a chance to develop. We do that through regular preventative care appointments that include:

  • Fissure sealants
  • Periodic dental exams
  • Digital X-rays (where needed)

Addressing tooth misalignment or decay early allows for less-invasive and affordable correction, compared to waiting until those situations become more involved. Thanks to restorative fillings, paediatric orthopaedic and orthodontics (including growth modification) and interceptive strategies, your child can enjoy less-aggressive care techniques that preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible.

Child Dental Benefits Program

Does your family qualify for Medicare or Medicaid? If so, you may be entitled to up to $1,052 in treatment every two years under the Children’s Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS).

With CDBS your child can book a gap free check and clean every six months, plus have access to necessary care like fillings, braces or sports mouthguards.

Your Child’s First Appointment

Paediatric specialists and dentists recommend that every child see a dentist before their first birthday (or when their first tooth erupts, whichever comes first). While this visit is mostly informative in nature, it equips parents with the resources they need to help their family avoid common oral health concerns.

Since primary (baby) teeth aren’t as strong as their adult replacements, they can decay at an alarmingly quicker rate. Regular checks and cleans from a young age can tremendously reduce your child’s risk of problems like cavities or crowded teeth.

Your first visit with us will take about half an hour. We’ll work at your child’s pace. If your child is comfortable, he or she may have a few photos and X-rays taken, their teeth polished and a brief exam before we discuss oral hygiene strategies. As always, we’re happy to answer any questions that you have!
